16/11/2015 THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW ICE SKATING RINK IN YEREVAN, THAT “SHINMEQMEKH” COMPANY HAS ALSO PARTICIPATED IN, IS NOW COMPLETED.
By the end of the year, an ice rink of international standards will be opening at Isakov’s Avenue 27/8 in Yerevan, which will also operate as a figure skating school.
The metal constructions and assembling works of the rink are carried out by “Shinmeqmekh” completely. Moreover, the company’s specialists have not only carried out the entire metal construction installation for an area of 1 hectare, but also the construction of the metal fence surrounding the building and the electrical substation metal doors.
The building is designed for figure skating and hockey. The complex can host both international and local competitions. It is expected for audiences of 500 people.
The new rink is twice as reliable as other constructions for the simplest explanation that it is designed for children. The building is based on long span structural systems and can withstand an earthquake of up to magnitude 10.
The ice skating rink will be named after a world and a European champion, a three-time Olympic champion and a Russian deputy of State Duma Irina Rodnina.
