Armenian travertine

Travertine is a type of mountain porous mountain stone. The name is originated from the name of the Italian city Tivoli which was situated not far from the city Rome which was rich with travertine reserves.

More than thousand years travertine is used in construction and architecture as constructional, decorative, lining material and it is the most used and respectable stone in modern architecture.

Travertine is harmless for human life, which allows its interior usage for walls, floors, sometimes ceilings’ lining. Monuments and sculptures are also made from travertine.
